Oil Painting lesson with Gregory Smith - Day 5

I started a new painting today.

It's a very interesting subject. Gumboots, leather shoes, a water pitcher and wooden logs.

Greg mentioned that I still have a bad habit of drawing with a rag, and I should focus more on large shapes, and angles of key elements.

Then, I put basic colours using White, Black, Raw Umber and Burnt Sienna.

I'm reasonably happy so far. I think logs will be a great challenge for me.
