Plein Air Oil Painting

Again, with a good friend of mine, well, her name is Kate, I went back to Malmsbury Botanic Gardens.
I just love this place. The railway bridge is irresistible. So charming.
Sharing a quality time painting together with fellow artists is always a great joy.

Today, I painted it from a different location, using a portrait format.

I'm reasonably happy with this one, except, I really struggled with shadows on the grass. 

There were strong shadows from trees, but, I don't know how to pair that.

I'll have to ask Greg.

It was a great day.
