Kate and I went to SkyHigh in Mount Dandenong, about an hour drive south-east of Melbourne.
It's been more than ten years since I was in this beautiful area, and this facility didn't exist, I think.
I found the drive very easy thanks to East Link highway.
There's a lookout and it gives a spectacular view of Melbourne. I think it might be even better after dark.
While we were painting, a man came up to us and introduced himself as the owner of this place. That was very nice. We had a lovely chat.
I'm reasonably happy with daisies on the left, but the green of the background is a bit monotonous, that's the problem I've found difficult to overcome.
Also, there's something wrong with the perspective of the building and its entrance. It looks a bit bending.
Painting lights and darks is always a big challenge, but, I'm really loving it.
Oil on panel. 16 x 20 in.
