Painting trip to Beechworth

Kate and I drove to Beechworth, 3 hour drive north-east of Melbourne, for a weeklong painting trip.

I've heard about this picturesque town from so many people, and it's really true. We had a brief look around the town, and I'm looking forward to exploring its beauty more.

Earlier in the day, we did a stop over in Benalla. There's a great gallery in the park. Very nice to see some paintings by Clarice Beckett.

We're staying at this beautiful cottage, Candlebark Retreat, about 10 minutes from town.
It's a great atmosphere and there're two horses! Can't wait to draw them.
