Oil Painting Lesson with Gregory Smith -Day 1

I started today by making the pot smaller. Greg told me that it's too big and that makes the guitar look a lot smaller. It was a very interesting point.  

Then I did more work on the green cloth and the floor. 

I spent the rest of the lesson trying to get the guitar right. He gave me a caution not  to be too fiddly about other subjects. They're not the priority. I tend to do a whole lot, forgetting about the order of priority. 

I feel that the painting is getting better, and I'm very pleased with it so far.
