We went to Arts Centre in the evening. State Theatre is a beautiful place to be in and we both love modern dance.
There were three ballet performances, spanning from 20th to 21st century, therefore, its title '20:21'.
I particularly liked the second one, 'Filigree and Shadow'. With pulsating techno soundtrack, smart costume and brilliant lighting, this energetic piece is contemporary dance at its best.
The day reached its climax with the third act, 'In The Upper Room'. With jaw-droppingly beautiful and high-octane music by Phillip Grass, it was a very fitting finale to the evening's audio-visual feast by this renowned dance company.
It was just brilliant.
