I drove to Malmsbury this morning.
I love this town, about an hour drive north-west of Melbourne.
I wanted something different today, so, instead of painting in Botanical Gardens, I decided to set up my easel here at a railway station.
I struggled with perspectives of this subject. I carefully measured angles, but, there's something wrong with this painting.
I had some great chats with locals, they're very nice.
I spent 3 hours on this one.
Oil on panel. 16x20 in.
It was a beautiful day. Very uplifting.
I booked a painting trip to Grampians in Octorber.
There was a great exhibition by Arthur Streeton at Geelong Gallery early this year. I was very inspired, and in this trip I will be retracing the places he painted.
I'm very looking forward to it.
