Oil Painting lesson with Gregory Smith

Today I started by painting background and a table with solid block tones. 

Greg showed us how to do it, with plenty of paint mixed on a palette. Firstly placing big chunk of paints at random in a space, then spread them with smooth brush strokes. Voilà. 

Then I spent the rest of the lesson refining a cast. That's a big challenge.
