Painting trip to Beechworth - Day1

I had a break at Benalla. Idea was, to have a look at some exhibition at the gallery. 

Well, it was closed! So, I took a good walk around. 

 

I arrived at Beechworth late afternoon. I wasn't so sure if I should paint or not. I was exhausted driving 3 hours. 

Then I decided to do some sketch and set up my easel here. It's a lovely Post Office. 

 

I don't think I did a good job. The building looks wobbly. The effect of light is not right. 

I gave up after 2.5 hours. I didn't think I would gain more. It was a beautiful day, though.
