Oil Painting lesson with Gregory Smith

I started today by making a background more solid. It dried unevenly. Also I wanted to wet a canvas. 

The vase on the left looked too cold,  so I warmed the shadow area by putting Alizarin. 

I spent the rest of the session by refining the mask. I’ve been slow, but it’s getting there.
