Painting trip to Kergunyah - Day 3

In the morning, I was driving C534 from Kancoona towards Rosewhite and found this gorgeous scenery. I assume that’s Mt Buffalo.

Apart from occasional motorists passing by, it was very peaceful. I was very careful not to make the same mistake I did yesterday, observing subtle tonal shift towards sky.
I’m reasonably happy with this one.
I spent 2.5 hours.

This is my setup. Umbrella is very useful on the day like this.  I had lunch here on this spot, sitting on a camping chair. It was lovely.

Then I drove to Mt Buffalo. I’d been twice before, today I was searching for the spot I liked but haven’t painted.
This is truly a magnificent view.

Boulders and rocks are very difficult to paint. I’ve had bad experiences. So I was very careful, again, paying an attention to tonal shift. I can’t say I’m happy but this is the best I’ve ever done. I really enjoyed this. The sky was just gorgeous.

It was a glorious day!
