Oil painting lesson with Gregory Smith

The second session. 

I spent a lot of time focusing on the form of the main body. Greg did a good demo, using brush strokes to creat 3D effect. 

The hoses are too skinny. He gave me a great tip. Dark first, as usual. Then brighten it up using diagonal, skidding brush strokes to blend. 

I’m enjoying this. 

We have a two week break.
